Short Biography

Kevin Jilg started his career as software developer at Blanc & Fischer IT Services GmbH, which is an IT service provider for mid-sized manufacturing companies. Already during his studies of Computer Science, he took on the role of Deep Learning Engineer and Data Scientist for specific projects with the goal of exploring the benefits of this field of science for the company and its customers. He completed his studies with a Bachelor of Science degree from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Karlsruhe. Since then he has also been engaged in Machine Learning Karlsruhe (ML-KA), an university group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which discusses research papers on a weekly basis and he is also part of the organizational team of PyData Südwest, the local PyData group in the southwest of Germany (Heidelberg, Mannheim, Karlsruhe). In his current role as an AI coordinator at Blanc & Fischer IT Services GmbH he works on building AI expertise and implementing the new technologies into a traditional IT service portfolio.
