Short Biography

Immanuel leads Merck’s AI research team. He strongly believes that the brain holds the key to the next generation of artificial intelligence. With his background in computer science, he is keen to understand how the simple building blocks and the self-organizing topology of the brain give rise to intelligence and how to replicate this efficient, unsupervised learning on the computer.
