Short Biography

Andreas Kohlmaier is heading the Data Management & Engineering team at Munich Re. His background is in computer science and AI. He holds a masters degree from the University of Kaiserslautern and joined Munich Re in 2008 as IT architect. In his current position he is responsible for Data Management & Data Engineering in the Reinsurance Group which includes the rollout of a global data lake and catalog, efficient operations of data pipelines and the use of AI to harmonize data from different formats. Privately he loves traveling, spending time with his family and jazz.
