Data Science projects at Deutsche Bahn heavily rely on SAP Data as maintenance processes are run by SAP. Thus virtually all asset masterdata and maintenance history resides either in R/3 or BW. Data provisioning to DataScience teams is oftentimes realized by exporting flatfiles or point-to-point interfaces. We will share insights on simplifying data access with reusable DataProducts that are made available via SAP Data Intelligence to centralized DataManagement Plattform.

Christian is an experienced senior consultant, his main focus is the role of the product owner of the the SAP Business Technology Platform team. With his team, he is providing the platform within in the company, with the focus on governance. Further more he‘s in a project lead role for the technical migration to S/4HANA and in a consultant role for new technologies in the SAP space.
Dr. Daniel Pöppelmann, Architect SAP Analytics | DB Systel GmbH
As an architect for SAP analytics at DB Systel, Daniel‘s focus is on enabling decision-making with SAP Data. Making SAP Data easily available to stakeholders via SAP BW and SAP Frontends is just as well on his agenda as supplying centralized plattforms with Data from SAP-sources via SAP Data Intelligence. Having a strong background in Predictive Analytics he is also interested in predictive maintenance. He holds a doctoral degree in business administration from the University of Osnabrück.
