Qlik – Realtime Replication from SAP using Qlik Data Integration: Experience Report and a glimpse into the workshop

Bystronic relies on Qlik as its strategic analysis and reporting platform. Requirements of internal users grow and thus the amount of data to be loaded from SAP daily. There is now a desire to see SAP data in BI fast. By introducing Qlik Data Integration, the platform was modernized: loading times were reduced significantly and flawless data updates are ensured. This presentation features a live demo to show how the extraction works in daily operations and how QDI is integrated into the Qlik Sense platform.

Speaker: Stefan Heinz, Senior BI & Analytics Specialist | Bystronic Group

Stefan Heinz is a Senior BI & Analytics Specialist at Bystronic Group, a global manufacturer of laser cutting and bending machines for sheet metal processing industries. In his role, he manages the BI landscape consisting of Qlik Sense, QlikView and Qlik Replicate. In close coordination with internal customers, he develops new Qlik applications and provides stakeholders with custom-fit dashboards and up-to-date reports for data-driven decisions. After completing his master’s degree with a specialization in “Information Management”, he got to know QlikView at SBB Cargo about nine years ago and successfully implemented it there.
