Architectural journey of an Advanced Data Analytics Platform in the banking industry

Developing an advanced data analytics platform in the banking industry is a challenging journey. Enterprise Architectures of banks in Germany evolve in a highly regulated environment. This presentation shows the evolution of such an advanced data analytics platform of a German bank using a thumb cinema. It will show the beginning of the platform and how it evolved over time with product requirements, regulation-, data governance- and security requirements but also intrinsic further development of the platform. On each evolution step resp. transformation architecture in the thumbs cinema you will see what requirements had which impact on the architecture. He loves new technology especially in the area big data and advanced analytics that enables the business. Dennis has 14 years experience in solving data related challenges for companies in the Airline, Fashion and Banking Industry. He worked in different roles like Plattform Architect, Enterprise Architect, Business Solution Architect, Project Lead and Software Developer. Dennis is also working as lecturer for students at university for applied sciences in Hannover to share experiences and knowledge.
